Financial Preparation

It is often convenient if you have an Austrian bank account, but not always mandatory.
Documents
Valid passport, alternatively also identity card for EU/EEA/Swiss nationals
Confirmation of registered residence (“Meldezettel”)
If applicable: visa or residence permit
Austrian telephone number (usually required for e-banking)
Students: Study confirmations (can be donwloaded in Uni Graz Online under “enrolment documents”)
Careful
It might be hard to arrange reservation with bank person so keep in mind that you can always go for smaller branches where there are less traffic.
