As your incredible Erasmus adventure in Graz comes to an end, this section provides all the essential steps for a smooth departure. From administrative checklists to university paperwork, we’ll guide you through the process, ensuring you leave Graz with ease and great memories.
Pay your student union fee (ÖH‐Beitrag) & get your student ID at the International Relations office
Get your certificate of arrival signed (if needed from your home university)
Download the Studo App to have easy access to all important platforms on your phone
Get an Austrian SIM card (if necessary): SIM cards can be bought at all supermarkets / Spusu (online)
Get an Austrian bank account (in case you need it for receiving a grant, …): Student account at Sparkasse
Get Austrian health insurance (if you are a non‐EU‐citizen)
Register your residence in Austria (Meldezettel)
Take care of the Anmeldebescheinigung for EU citizens
Get a residence permit (Aufenthaltstitel für Studierende) for non‐EU‐citizens (if you stay longer than 6
months)
Get a public transport ticket for Styria
